This Privacy Policy describes how information is handled in the app "Aqua Wealth Tracker". We are committed to protecting your privacy and providing you with full control over your data. This policy outlines our practices, emphasizing that Aqua is designed to run entirely on your device, processing and storing your data locally.
Aqua does not store your personal information on any backend servers. All financial data is processed and saved locally on your device, and you remain in full control of it.
Broker Integrations (e.g., Scalable Capital & Trade Republic)
If you use the broker integration feature, the app retrieves your investment and transaction data directly from your broker. This information is processed locally on your device and is not stored or shared externally. All data requests are made directly from your device to your broker's servers using secure sessions. Your full login credentials, such as passwords or one-time codes, are used only to perform the import process you initiated and are never stored locally or sent anywhere outside your device.
Phone Number for Broker Login
You may choose to store your phone number on your device to speed up broker logins. This is completely optional and requires your explicit consent via an in-app toggle. The number is stored only locally, is never transmitted or shared externally, and will be removed if you disable the option or uninstall the app.
The app offers optional auto-renewing subscriptions to unlock premium features.
All payments are processed securely by the respective app store provider's In-App Purchase platform (Apple App Store for iOS and Google Play Store for Android). We do not collect, process, or have access to any of your sensitive payment information, such as your name, credit card number, or billing address. This information is managed exclusively by Apple or Google under their respective privacy policies.
When you purchase a subscription, we receive a non-sensitive transaction receipt or token from the platform provider (Apple or Google). This information is used solely to validate your purchase, manage your subscription status (e.g., active, expired, or in a grace period), and unlock the corresponding premium features in your account. The information we receive is limited to the subscription plan purchased, its validity period, and an anonymous transaction identifier.
We process data based on the following legal grounds under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):
Performance of a Contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR): When you use the app's core features, such as importing data from your broker, or when you purchase a subscription for premium features, we process the necessary data locally on your device to provide you with the service you have requested.
Consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR): For optional features, such as storing your phone number for faster logins, we rely on your explicit consent. You can grant or revoke your consent at any time within the app's settings.
You have full control over your data. Under the GDPR, you have the following rights:
Access: You can view all your data within the app and export a copy at any time.
Correct: You can edit and correct any inaccurate data directly in the app.
Delete: You can delete your data using in-app features or by uninstalling the app entirely.
Restrict Processing: You can turn off optional features at any time in the app.
Data Portability: You have the right to download your data in a common, machine-readable format.
Withdraw Consent: For any feature that requires your consent, you can withdraw it at any time in the app. This will not affect any processing that happened before you withdrew consent.
Lodge a Complaint: You have the right to file a complaint with a data protection authority if you have concerns. Our supervisory authority is the Bayerisches Landesamt für Datenschutzaufsicht (BayLDA) in Germany.

The app does not share your personal financial data with any third-party services for analytics, advertising, or other purposes. All data processing is handled by the app on your device or in direct, secure communication with your broker at your request.
Please note that payment processing for subscriptions is handled by third-party platform providers (Apple and Google), as detailed in the "Payments and Subscriptions" section.
All your personal and financial data is stored locally on your device. It is retained only as long as you have the app installed. If you uninstall the app, all associated data is deleted from your device.
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by presenting the new policy to you within the app or by other appropriate means.
